Zack Joseph is a 25 year old singer, songwriter and guitarist based out of Nashville TN. Originally from Niagara Falls NY, Joseph relocated to Music City in 2013 to further develop his music career. Soon after, he independently released his debut album “All in Time” and started touring the country with a band. Now a solo performer, Zack Joseph has begun planning his sophomore album and will continue to nationally tour. Joseph’s love of music began at an early age when he started playing cello in his elementary school orchestra. From there, he began to learn other instruments and it became quite clear that music was going to be more than just a hobby. In his teen years, his great aunt introduced him to artists such as The Original Carter Family, Hank Williams Sr. and The Everly Brothers and an Americana obsession took over. Soon after, Joseph started writing his own music, playing guitar, and gave his first public singing performance.
Joseph attended the State University of New York at Fredonia in 2009 for cello performance and music education but after one semester switched concentrations to the school’s newly introduced Music Business program. With a new goal in mind, Joseph continued to develop his unique sound and writing style. After graduating in three years, Joseph started assistant managing a winery in upstate New York to save money and in 2013 he packed up his 1984 VW Rabbit and headed for Nashville.
After waiting tables in downtown Nashville for a year, Joseph was able to release is debut album and plan his first tour up the East Coast. Since then, Joseph has planned and performed nearly 200 shows and festivals in 25 different states across the country. Previously backed by upright bass and drums, Joseph is now performing as a solo act and is planning the release of his sophomore album. Although Joseph’s sound and genre are often difficult to pinpoint, he has been compared to artists such as Cat Stevens, Stevie Nicks, Dolly Parton, Hank Williams Sr, Bob Dylan, Passenger, and Emmylou Harris. “This music comes from the heart of the resurgence of Americana roots country/rock & roll.” -KEF America
